The society’s membership requirements exist for the benefit of members, providing clear expectations that will support their personal and professional growth. These requirements have been carefully designed to balance the needs for accountability, inclusion and educational advancement.
Members are required to earn a certain number of points each semester. It is 25 points for freshmen and sophomores, 15 points for juniors and 10 points for seniors. Members are also required to attend the end of semester banquet, pay dues and fill out any mandatory forms or surveys. The attendance/point requirements do not apply during an internship/study abroad semester and some members are exempt (such as graduate students and student athletes).

We also provide incentives for members who significantly exceed the points requirement. The top three members with the most points in an academic year receive scholarships ($500, $250 and $100). Also, anyone who receives at least 50 points in a semester will be recognized at the end of semester banquet. High-achieving members are also more likely to be invited to participate in the Distinguished Fellows program, which is our exclusive leadership development program.
